FAQ
Questions women ask before starting care.
Who is this for?
Women in perimenopause or menopause who want thoughtful clinical guidance for symptoms, weight changes, and long-term wellbeing — especially those who have not felt heard elsewhere.
Can GLP-1 therapy and HRT be considered together?
Yes, when clinically appropriate. Many women experience menopause symptoms and metabolic changes at the same time, so eligibility and treatment planning should consider the whole picture.
Is this a replacement for my primary care doctor?
No. HerSecondSpring focuses on menopause and related metabolic care. We encourage you to maintain a relationship with your primary care clinician for general medical needs.
Will I automatically receive medication?
No. Medication decisions depend on your history, risks, symptoms, goals, labs when needed, and clinician judgment. The free assessment is a starting point, not a prescription guarantee.
Is HRT safe? I heard it causes cancer.
This fear comes from a 2002 study called the Women’s Health Initiative that was significantly misrepresented in the media. The study used synthetic hormones at doses and formulations rarely used today, in women who were on average 63 years old and well past menopause. Current evidence — including major reviews by the Menopause Society — tells a very different story, particularly for women who begin HRT within 10 years of menopause onset. Your clinician will review your personal health history and give you a complete clinical picture specific to you — not a 20-year-old headline.
What will this actually cost me each month?
The Second Spring Reset is $249/month, billed as a 3-month commitment of $747 to start. This covers all consultations, check-ins, labs, and your complete digital protocol. Medication is billed separately based on your personalized prescription — because your dose is adjusted as you progress and you should only pay for what your body actually needs. Most patients are in the $150–$350/month range for GLP-1 medication. HRT medication typically runs $40–$80/month. There are no surprise fees. Your total cost is fully transparent before you commit to anything.
How quickly will I see results?
Every patient is different, but here is what most women in our program report: Sleep improvements: within 2 weeks. Energy and mood shifts: weeks 3–4. Hot flash reduction: weeks 2–6 depending on your HRT protocol. Meaningful weight loss: weeks 6–10. Your provider will set specific expectations for your situation during your initial consultation.
How is this different from Hims, Ro, or Found?
Those platforms were built for everyone — which means their protocols were built for no one in particular. They prescribe GLP-1 medication without addressing the hormonal environment that determines whether that medication actually works for menopausal women. HerSecondSpring combines GLP-1 therapy with a complete hormone rebalancing protocol designed specifically for women experiencing hormonal changes. Our clinical team specializes in exactly this intersection. That is the entire reason we exist.
What if it does not work for me?
If you follow your personalized protocol, attend your monthly check-ins, and do not experience meaningful improvement within 60 days — better sleep, more energy, fewer hot flashes, and at least 8 lbs lost — we will continue working with you at no additional charge until you do. No time limit. No questions asked. We make this promise because we have seen what happens when both root causes are treated at the same time. We are not worried about honoring it.
